Thanks to all those who joined us for a stimulating and insightful evening with Sir Peter Bazalgette OA and Dr Joe Spence, Master of Dulwich College.
The focus of the discussion was empathy, the subject of Peter’s book The Empathy Instinct. Peter opened the evening by sharing his fascination with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and how it has given us insights into the human mind. Topics explored by the speakers and the audience through their many questions spanned different definitions of empathy (cognitive and emotional), the positive and negative aspects of empathy, public policy, restorative justice, health, childcare and investment into arts and culture.
The audience was enthusiastic and insightful. A great event!
