An evening with outstanding Nigerian publishing house Cassava Republic Press. Cassava is on a mission to showcase the remarkable and often neglected talent of African writers.

We welcome:

– Elnathan John, the author of Born on a Tuesday. He is one of Nigeria’s most well-known satirists and has twice been shortlisted for the prestigious Caine Prize for African Writing

– Sarah Ladipo Manyika, author of Like a Mule Bringing Ice Cream to the Sun. Born in Nigeria, Sarah now lives in California and teaches at San Francisco State University.

– Leye Adenle, author of Easy Motion Tourist. He is a writer of crime fiction and an actor. Lee’s grandfather Oba Adeleye Adenle I, also a writer, was king of Oshogbo in South West Nigeria
